Comma Zen Strip Quilt Tutorial

Comma Zen Strip Quilt Tutorial

In my last post, I shared some fabric I had found and fell in love with (Comma Fabric by Zen Chic). I also shared two brick block quilt tops I made using the fabric. If you read through this post, you might remember that I only used 25 of the 40 fat quarters that came in the bundle. My daughter had fallen in love with a strip quilt she saw on Pinterest so I decided to try making a similar one for her.

Recently I decided to go through this bin and see what I could come up with.

SpongeBob Squarepants 9-Patch Quilt

I made this Spongebob Squarepants for my son, Christopher, in March 2004. He loved the show and I was hooked on buying things on Ebay — which is where I found more than a dozen different spongebob Squarepants prints. These two things, along with the fact that he had been bugging me for a quilt since I made my daughter her Wizard of Oz Quilt, were the inspiration for my 13th quilt (made in March of 2004).
