This is my 16th quilt. Before I tell you more about it, let me apologize for the poor quality of the photo. In my defense, I made this quilt and took this picture in June 2004. This was long before I had a good quality digital camera and the skills to edit the photos. Continue reading →
Since we are on the topic of baby quilts, this is the quilt I made for my first grandchild, Blake Leigh Ann, who was born in May 2011. This was quilt #93, made in March of 2011. I finished it in time for Katie’s (and Blake’s) baby shower. Continue reading →
First of all, I wanted to use this post to announce the re-opening of my Etsy store. It has been quite awhile since I have posted anything for sale but that is going to change! I had a lot of fun making these little gems and look forward to making many more.
I have a plastic bin in my craft cupboard that I use to collect extra quilt blocks. Usually, when I am designing my own quilt tops, I make way too make blocks plus some quilt patterns I use leave me with extras… I can’t bear to just toss these so I have been collecting them. Recently I decided to go through this bin and see what I could come up with. Continue reading →
I made this Spongebob Squarepants for my son, Christopher, in March 2004. He loved the show and I was hooked on buying things on Ebay — which is where I found more than a dozen different spongebob Squarepants prints. These two things, along with the fact that he had been bugging me for a quilt since I made my daughter her Wizard of Oz Quilt, were the inspiration for my 13th quilt (made in March of 2004). The only reason I am writing this post is because I want to post all of the quilts I have made. The Morning Glory Snowman Throw — which was my 12th quilt — was made using a kit I bought from Bay Window quilt shop… Did you notice there is no picture of this quilt? That is what happens when you forget to take a picture and then give the quilt away. Continue reading →

While I used the pink and green fabrics in Blake’s crib-sized baby quilt, I was left not quite knowing what to do with the purples. That is when I came up with the idea for this simple stroller quilt. Continue reading →
We are lucky enough to have 2 more grandson’s joining the family in the next few months so I have been searching for some inspiration to make them each a quilt. Besides searching online for baby quilt patterns, I looked back at pictures of baby quilts I have made. Continue reading →
While I have been jumping around a little bit, I am trying to post my quilts in the order that I made them (somewhat)… This was the 3rd quilt I made (in case you missed them, the first one was a Simple Rail Fence and the second was a super-hard quilt called Flying Home).
Remember the memory bears I posted about awhile back? They were made from grandma’s clothes. It was that grandma I made this quilt for. She seemed so excited when I started quilted I immediately wanted to make something for her so I chose this quilt and worked hard on it to get it done in time to be a birthday gift. Continue reading →
