Awhile back, I shared the Crown Royal quilt I made for my husband (My Up-North Crown Royal Quilt #137), and when one of our cabin neighbor’s saw it they asked if I could make them a quilt using those same purple, flannel bags. As much as a pain in the butt as those bags are, to work with, I didn’t hesitate to say yes when Elliot asked because he is such a great kid! So began my 150th quilt project….
I figured now was the perfect time to post about the quilts I made for my 4 grandkids back in December of 2012 (2 boys — Mason and Easton and 2 girls — Blake and Tatum). Now is the perfect time to post because I just pulled these pictures out because I am going to be making a few more and I needed to refer to the picture for guidance!
I designed this quilt pattern for my 4th grandchild – Tatum! She was born in January 2013. At that time, my daughter Katie (Tatum’s mom) was really into yellow and gray so that is how I chose the colors. I chose the design because I had been itching to make a quilt using half-square triangles, plus chevron was just starting to get really popular.
