When I was trying to figure out a quilt to make for my newest great nephew, I lucked out and found the most adorable fabric… This Les Amis Gray Flannel Fabric (affiliate link) from Michael Miller.
Once I knew I had to use that fabric, it was easy finding other flannel fabrics to match it. To add a little more texture, I grabbed some turquoise and dark gray Minky fabric to use.
Once I had the fabric figure out, I new I had an easy pattern that would work perfectly – this Yellow Brick Road Quilt Pattern (affiliate link) by Atkinson Designs.
I really enjoy using patterns by Atkinson Designs. They are well written and easy to make, and this one is no exception. I did improvise a little bit only because I found 9 fabrics I really liked and the pattern called for 6.
For anyone wondering, this was the 136th quilt I made. What do you think of it?
