This quilt was a total experiment and I love how it turned out! It was also my 181st quilt if you are keeping track!
I was inspired to make it by a customer’s quilt. She had brought in a similar panel to be long-armed and I liked the effect of looking out a window. I did not have a pattern, I just kind of “did it”.
Basically, I cut the panel into 20 – 7″ x 10″ rectangles. I cut out 20 – 2″ x 10″ lighter brown strips for the side of each rectangle and 20 – 2″ x 7″ cream/beige strips for the bottom of each rectangle. To make the corner of the window pane, I cut a 2-inch square from both the lighter brown and the cream/beige fabric and sewed them together at an angle.
I used a cream colored Minky/Cuddle fabric for the back and long-armed it using an oak leaf and acorn design.

What do you think of it?
